The exam is going to start in this month of march..! 19th March in Telangana, and 31st March in Andhra Pradesh is the date of examination of 10th class SSC. All students are now aiming for 10/10 grade in the upcoming exam.

Overview

In each subject there will be 2 papers, paper 1 will be of 40 marks and paper 2 will be of 40 marks. Internal evaluation will be 20 marks. This internal marks will be given based on Record maintenance, project works etc.

Mathematics Paper I

The first 7 chapters will be asked in the paper I.

Real Numbers, Sets, Polynomials, Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables, Quadratic Equations, Progressions and Co-ordinate geometry are the chapters you should be concentrating on.

from Real Numbers chapter, the important topics are Euclid Division Rules, Prime Numbers, Radical Numbers and their decimal expansions. So from this chapter we can easily score high marks.

Sets Chapter: In this chapter the important topics are Finding missing numbers, Venn diagram, relation between elements, division of sets etc are some important ones. Adding two sets is one important question.

The above two chapters are important chapters along with polynomials. Finding roots using various methods is one important topic from polynomials so as to know how to get 10/10 in SSC 10th Class AP/TS

Mathematics Paper II

In this paper, the following chapters are going to asked.

  • Similar Triangles
  • Tangents and Secants to a Circle
  • Mensuration
  • Trigonometry
  • Applications of Trigonometry
  • Probability
  • Statistics

All the chapters above will contain equal weight-age throughout the pattern. The Similar Triangles and Probability and some of easiest ones that we can score from.

Focus on high weight-age problems and easy problems first and then continue to other problems.

Important Notes

In all chapters students should solve all problems including examples, theorems, proofs in a systematic way. “TRY THIS” section in all chapters are very important for scoring good marks so that you can face new problems easily.

In Andhra Pradesh, You will be given fill in the blanks instead of multiple choice questions and 12 of them will be asked. These questions are asked from the theory of all chapters in that paper.

General Science

Knowledge of the subject, Questioning, Observing, Experimental Skills, Field Investigation, Communication skills are very essential to get good grades in the General Science paper.

English Paper

Students should be very careful while writing the ‘Reading Comprehension” part of the question paper, students should read the passage carefully while attempting. 1, 2 questions are given in the form of passage itself.

The rest of the paper should be written solely without any hints.

In both the paper, the section B part consists of grammar. Tenses, Reported Speeches, Passive Voice, Verb Forms, Word Order, Coordination rule, Concord Rule and Question tag are some important topics in grammar.

Only when you are skilled in basic grammar only then should you be able to score good marks in the English Exam.

In Section C: Major discourse will be asked in this section, You should practice at-least one model from each discourse to excel. You should practice at-least once from Interview, speech, biographical speech etc

From Paper I, the minor discourse will be from messaage, notice, dairy and in paper II, poster, invitation, profiles out of which one will be given.

You should write Minor discourse in 1 page and Major discourse in 5 pages to get optimal marks.

Some important tips

Time Management

In this limited time, the students should make use of this opportunity and divide the time based on the weight-age and importance of that specific topic to make use full use of the sufficient time.

Rivision

Revision means that to take another look at the topics that you already covered. Students usually tend to ignore the topics that they already know and concentrate on the topics that they don’t know.

However, students should always revise the topics already know at-least once a day. So that they don’t forgot what they already know.

How many marks for internal evaluation?

40 marks for paper 1 and 40 marks for paper 2. Internal evaluation marks are 20 marks. Total marks are 100 Marks for each subject.
